After the successful launching of  JioFi JMR 814(JioFi 5), Jio has now come up with more upgraded more promising JioFi Device named "JioFi JMR 815".

It is also known as Jiofi 6.

The Company Jio has promised a lot with this wifi dongle, But the question is it "Has Jio made it better?" or just waste the time to find out big Promises.

1. Specifications of JioFi 6: 

Before going deep inside, First look at Specifications and Features of the device to get Basic Overview.

Now first unbox the box and see what is inside.

2. Box Content:

JioFi was covered in a red box which I bought. You can have a second box color Blue. But we need not discuss box color. So now comes at the topic.
At the front of Box, we find Jio Digital Life Branding and at Back Side details of Manufacturer, Pricing, SSID and Password. The Total weight of full package including box is 210 grams.
As we open the box we find a very compact circular designed, black colored device with Jio Branding at the top. This is the device we are talking about the JioFi JMR 815. Beside of it we also find a Standard USB Power Adapter, USB cable, User Manuals(Containing Setup Guide, Warranty Card and Jio4GApp Instructions) and Last thing is Battery.

3. Design and Build Quality:

When we come to Design, we have a lot say. This Jiofi device comes in very impressive circular design. The device is really very portable with its very small size. Friends its size is very like Box of Hair wax(100ml) or smaller than that too.we can put it into our pocket as well as hold it at our hands too. Feel of the device is really outstanding and so good to carry.

The Quality of material is very good. Top and Back of the Device is made of plastic and a rounded ring of glass gives a very Glossy look.

At the front of the JioFi, we find a nice looking Jio Branding with glass.

on the below side, we find Standard USB Port for charging and tethering the device.

at the above side, we find two Physical keys with three LED Indication lights covered with the glass too.

The Two Physical keys are 

Power Key and WPS Key

and The Three LED Indicator lights shows

Battery Status, Network Strength and WiFi Status

Back Side the key instructions and Jio4GVoice App instructions are mentioned.at the lower side of Back they also mentioned that the device is Designed in India. But keep in mind device is just designed in India not made in India. at the Below side in the device we also find a small notch to easily open the back cover.

When open the back we find a Memory card slot which is expandable to 64 GB and SIM Slot where we can insert the SIM.

NOTE: Keep in mind we can only Insert Jio Sim in the device.No Other SIM works.

and there is some more information about the device available( Like as, SSID, Password).

to the right of the Bottom, we find the reset option, which can use to reset the JioFi.For resetting JioFi you need to insert pin inside.

By Inserting the Battery given in the box we can use JioFi.

Friends I am satisfied with the Design and Build Quality and I don't think that it is not good in this price segment. though It could be better, it's good.

 

4. Setting JioFi:

After inserting the SIM card and Battery you need to put back Back Cover to the Device.

Now its time to on the power of the device.

So first Press and Hold the Power Button for 3 Seconds. The Indication light will be on. The Device will take 35 to 40 seconds to turn on perfectly.

When the device is turned on all the three LED lights will be on with their current status.

  The Green Light for Battery and Network shows High Status

  The Blue Light for Battery and Network shows Normal Status

  The Red Light for Battery and Network shows Low Status

  Blinking light for Battery Charging Status and Blinking Light for Network shows No SIM Card

   For WiFi LED Light Blue shows no connected devices and green shows connected.

   Blinking shows the WPS is active and Sleep Mode

NOTE: When the device goes to sleep, Battery Indicator Light and Network Indicator light turns off.

When the power is On. Simply get your Computer, Mobile (or the device which you want to connect with JioFi for Internet connection)and 

1. Turn on WiFi.

2. Click on SSID(Hotspot name of your JioFi).

3. Put the Password

and Your Device is Connected. Now you can enjoy 4G Data on Your Connected device.

NOTE: The SSID and Password of your JioFi Device will be mentioned on the, back of the box and Sticker below SIM Card.

5. What Can You Do with JioFi?:

After all, You might think "what can you do with JioFi?" So let we talk about its features and more...

Connectivity:

When we come to check how much devices it really can connect. The answer comes 32. Yes, You can really connect 32 devices(31 with WiFi and 1 with USB tethering).

I have connected the JioFio with 13 Devices including 9 Mobile Phones, 2 computers, 1 iPad and 1 smart TV.

But now the Question is "Does it work well?"

The answer is No.

When I connected it with all these devices it started to share data, but it was useless because I was unable to use the internet properly in any of device. Although We can call it lack of Good network coverage in our area, but this compliment cannot hide the issue.

Now comes at my second test, here I connected 4 devices with JioFi including two mobiles, PC and Smart Tv.

This time result was Positive. The JioFi was serving internet connection data very well to all devices.

Although the Network coverage is also Good in our area, so we got Maximum speed ( Download 24 Mbps and Upload 21 Mbps).

So friends if you need to connect up to 4 or 5 devices it could be a good option for you.

Note: In our deep testing we find the Coverage area of JioFi JMR 815 is 25 meters when you are straight to the device and 20 meters in other circumstances.

Portability:

When we talk about portability JioFi 6 is outstanding. Friends this is really a very portable device. You can simply hold it in your hands, put into your pocket and travel anywhere carrying it. The Device weight is very light Just 95 grams which make it more portable.

You can get a very good internet connection with it without killing the battery of your Mobile Phone. Its feel,  look, weight design everything made me a huge fan of this JioFi device. I have a lot to speak out about it. But now we have to talk much more about other things so let it end now and move ahead.

Jio4GVoice App:

It does not only provide data connection, while it also provides you faculty to make Voice and Video calls as well as messaging too. Through the use of Jio4GVoice app, you can also make these all possible.

Just go to Play Store 

simply download Jio4GVoice App 

Install and 

setup.

NOTE: You can only use Jio4GVoice app in one Android Device.            You cant make calls or messaging with JioFi if you are an iPhone User.

Wireless Data Sharing:

A very good faculty which is not easy to understand why jio give it in this device.

But that's really a good thing. Now you can Share your sd card data wirelessly to other devices up to 64 GB.

Note: You can also share data through USB tethering.

6. Battery Life:

JioFi JMR815 comes with biggest battery capacity with 3000mAh.The Battery take up to 4 hours to charge with power adapter given in the Box.

If you charge it with your PC it can take Up to 10 Hours of time.

Guys battery is not big just to speak while its performance and work time is really incredible. I used it continuously, it took 8 Hours 40 minutes to get discharged.which should be considered as a great performance for battery.

Network strength also a factor for back up time of the Battery.

If You have a great network coverage in Your area, you can use it up to 9 hours at most.

If You have a poor network coverage in Your area, you can use it up to 8 hours.

If you are not a heavy user, maybe you just have to plug it to charge only once in a day.

7. Performance:

When we come to Performance, it totally depends on your area and there's network strength. If Network strength of Jio is Great in Your area, you can get the highest performance. And its Chipset Alt 3800 also gives you a better experience being a CAT high-Speed Broadband access.

Considering my area I can say performance is Nice. There is a good network coverage of jio in my Area. And i got 24 Mbps maximum Download Speed and 21 Mbps Maximum Upload speed. Which is quite good for a normal User.

I will thumb up for Performance of the Device. There is no any Dongle or wifi hotspot providing better performance than JioFi JMR 815 this time.

Guys average speed with the Device is 15 Mbps.Which could be a really great performance.

Beside of 2 or 3 lacks there is no reason for not buying the device.

The Device is worth buying.

Still, I would say there is no other device which could compete JioFi JMR 815.
